I would be more interested in adding this functionality to the DrawingLayer Class. Please take a look at the TrackingLayer Object and GeoEvent object in the following link:

The TrackingLayer object is similar to the DrawingLayer, I would like to have the GeoEvent object added to the DrawingLayer class.

Please let me know if something similar is possible.
