Hi there,
I have been tasked with developing a GIS mapping activeX control object for use inside engineering software and built a small little class library inside visual studio that references MapWinGIS.
The program compiles just fine and I can drag/drop it into the container program but I am required to move this mapping functionality onto a workstation for demonstration purposes and I am completely lost as to where I should start. I am assuming that I cannot just drag the class library dll over to the new machine and register it? Would I need to include all the dlls that it references? Would I have to install MapwinGIS on each workstation?
I am not a .net programmer by trade so the registry is still a bit of a mystery, so I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice or perhaps help with a search of the previous discussions to help point me in the right direction. I am not exactly sure how to word this problem in searching for the solution.
Thanks
Kyle
