New Post: OnSelectBoxFinal not firing

I'm using MapWinGIS 4.9.3.5 (within Delphi XE7 32 bit) and am trying to create an inset map zoomed to the whole globe. I want to detect a change in the selection in that map and use as the extent for a more detailed larger map.

I have put the small map cursor mode to cmSelection but no event fires when I make a selection (but yellow selection box is displayed). I HAVE setthe small maps SendSelectBoxFinal property to true as per instructions in online help.

Can anyone help?
