Hi, Shape.Perimeter simply calculates Euclidean distance between a pair of points and sums it across all segments. How close it is to the real distance between these points depends on map projection. If high precision is needed it's better to use Utils.GeodesicDistance. Only don't forget to convert input coordinates to decimal degrees if they are different (Map.ProjToDegrees). In both cases coordinates can be easily accessed with Shape.get_XY.
