New Post: Failure to register v4.9.3.4 MapWinGis.OCX on W7 32 bit

Using the v4.9.3.4-win32 on Windows 7 32 bit, MapWinGis.OCX is (silently) failing to register, either during the install, or when triggered manually (both done with admin permissions).

I have tried:

• Running Depends on it and the list of DLLs it gives is identical to those on another machine which is registering the DLL as expected.
• Cutting back the directories in the Path, in case something there was causing problems
• Checking the compatibility files for anything that might have an odd effect.
  

Any other suggestions would be gratefully received.
