So I am just getting to use MW4.8.6 and it is awesome. many thanks to the developers. in testing it i was doing some work with labeling the lat/lon polylines. Here are several things i noticed:
1. When you first create a label there is a secondary popup that lets the user decide to to put the label First segment|Last Segment|Middle Segment|Longest segment and also Orientation. Once you set that and want to go back and redo the orientation there is no clear way on how to bring that pop-up back up again. I have to clear the Expression then confirm deletion of the labels and then set again. Pop-up window snapshot is attached.
2. The properties in #1 are not saved to the MWPRJ. Ive looked at several and the properties do not seem to be persisted. In fact i did a test, one map with horizontal orientation and another map with parallel orientation. i saved each map to its own MWPRJ. I then open up one of the projects and the orientation seems to be an application wide setting and not a per layer/per map setting. I say this because it seems that the orientation displayed is the last one that was used in the prior map and not the one that is supposed to be saved with each layer's label options.
3. I also looked for these properties in the MapWinGIS.ShapeDrawingOptions options when I program and just do not see how to set them. Luckily my labels are required to be parallel and that is the default. I just don't see how to change that programmatically.
